Receptionist/Legal Assistant

Join our close-knit family law firm as a Receptionist/Legal Assistant and play a crucial role in our daily operations. We offer a warm, welcoming work environment where you'll be a valued member of our team. We're seeking an organized, personable individual with excellent communication skills to manage our front desk and provide administrative support to our legal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet clients warmly and manage phone communications with a pleasant voice

- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars

- Handle billing, collections, and process payments

- Manage office supplies, contact vendors, and maintain a tidy workspace

- Perform data entry and clerical tasks

- Provide information to clients and support legal staff

- Assist attorneys with basic legal document preparation

- Lift and unpack deliveries as needed

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Zoom

- Experience with scanning and document management

- Strong organizational and secretarial skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

- Punctuality and consistent attendance

- Ethical approach to work and client interactions

- Reliable transportation

- Ability to lift and handle office deliveries

Preferred:

- Spanish language skills

- Prior experience in a legal setting, as a receptionist, or in an office environment.

Ideal Candidate:

- Personable and professional demeanor

- Effective communicator with a pleasant phone voice

- Detail-oriented and efficient

- Quick learner with interest in legal processes

Details:

- Pay range: $25-30/hour, commensurate with experience.

- In-person position

- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5:30 PM

- Medical stipend: $250/month
