Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Supervision & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of recreational facilities (e.g., gym, swimming pool, courts, parks).
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any damage or maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed and report any incidents or injuries promptly.
- Customer Service
- Greet and assist guests and participants, providing information about programs, services, and facility rules.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
- Activity Assistance
- Assist in the coordination and supervision of recreational programs or events (sports, fitness classes, arts, etc.).
- Help set up, organize, and break down activities and events as needed.
- Support recreation staff in the execution of classes or games, ensuring participants follow safety protocols.
- Equipment Management
- Distribute and collect recreational equipment as needed (e.g., sports equipment, towels, pool supplies).
- Ensure all equipment is returned in good condition and stored properly after use.
- Safety & Monitoring
- Ensure safety standards are upheld during all recreational activities.
- Actively monitor participants, particularly in high-risk areas like pools or sports courts.
- Be trained and ready to perform first aid or CPR in the event of an emergency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (or in progress for students).
- Previous experience in a recreational or customer service role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of recreational activities, sports, or fitness programs.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and interact effectively with participants of all ages.
- Physical ability to perform duties that may involve lifting, standing, and participating in physical activities.
