Recreational Camp Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers throughout their time at camp. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have experience in childcare or related fields.

Camp runs June 9 - August 1 with no camp during week of June 30-July 4.

Responsibilities

This position requires driving full size and/or minivans and transporting children aged 7-14 from morning pick up spots or their homes and to daily activities including amusement parks, water parks, trampoline parks, bowling, movies, archery, beaches and more.

Confident and Safe driving record and ability is a must. Job is ideal for college students home for the summer who are outgoing, upbeat, friendly and active.

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities including sports, amusement parks and other outdoor adventures.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and friendship among campers.
• Implement daily schedules and ensure that all activities run smoothly.
• Provide guidance and support to campers, addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure the well-being of all participants at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any relevant updates.

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or daycare settings is preferred
• A passion for outdoor activities and camp-related experiences will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

You MUST live within a reasonable commute distance from Danville or Walnut Creek.
