Recreational Vehicle Consignment Manager/Buyer

The Consignment Manager/Buyer will be tasked with working with sellers who want to list and sell their RV. Core responsibilities may include cold calling, messaging online, physically inspecting RVs to determine their market value, examining their physical condition, safety, and functionality. Gathering information on RV’s to determine their market value, such as pricing data, comparable sales and other factors, while also looking for the opportunity for “out-right buys” or trades when necessary. Then using this information to explain the consignment process and findings to customers, including potential buyers, sellers, insurance companies, or estate administrators.

● Market analysis skills – Ability to research and interpret market data to accurately assess RV values

Key Responsibilities

● Working and maintaining communication with possible sellers to encourage them to sell their RV’s through consignment or to sell their vehicle out-right

● Providing accurate appraisal for purposes like insurance claims and buying or selling the RV, while staying updated on RV specific market dynamics and valuation methodologies

● Thoroughly examining RVs, including the exterior, interior, mechanical components, and features to identify any damage, wear and tear, or modifications

● Applying appropriate valuation methodologies to determine the fair market value of an RV based on its condition, age, mileage, and features

● Documenting detailed appraisal reports with supporting data, photos, and justifications for determined value

● Providing trade numbers for the sales staff who are working deals

● Documenting all customer contacts in the database including walk-in customers, and setting appraisal appointments

● Maintain monthly contact with your consignment customers on traffic or interest, any concerns, pricing issues, sale recommendations, etc.

● Following listed vehicles through the entire listing process, including but not limited to any cleaning and service requests

● Negotiating with sellers to achieve an acceptable selling price on their unit

● Completing and processing all needed paperwork for RV listings

● Conducting quality checks of any detail work completed on vehicles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
