Recreations Attendant, Ladies & Gentlemen (Multi-Tasking)

Job Summary

The Recreation Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment across the hotel’s recreation facilities, including the Waterpark, Watersports Center, Hotel Beach, and Ladies’ Island Beach. This role combines guest service, facility operations, and physical tasks such as cleaning, organizing, equipment setup, and—in the case of gentlemen—heavy lifting. The Recreation Attendant also supports the operation of food kiosks and retail stores, manages inventory, and engages with guests to create memorable leisure experiences.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Engagement & Service

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, proactive assistance across all recreation areas.
• Guide guests on available waterpark rides, beach activities, and watersports options.
• Ensure guest safety by communicating rules, guidelines, and facility policies.
• Assist guests with equipment such as life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards, and inflatables.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns politely and efficiently.

Operations & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across recreation areas, including beaches, pools, walkways, seating areas, rest zones, and facilities.
• Arrange sunbeds, umbrellas, tables, waterpark equipment, and beach settings in proper order.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures for all recreation sites.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for daily operations and special events.
• Perform tasks requiring physical effort; gentlemen will handle heavy lifting when necessary.

Retail & Food Kiosk Support

• Operate food and retail counters professionally and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Prepare simple refreshments (if applicable) and ensure hygienic handling of all items.
• Process guest purchases accurately using POS systems.
• Help promote retail items, watersports rentals, and recreational offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of kiosks and stores.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor and replenish inventory for food, retail, towels, equipment, and safety items.
• Ensure watersports and recreation equipment is clean, well-maintained, and ready for guest use.
• Report low stock or damaged items promptly to supervisors.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety policies and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure safe use of watersports equipment, waterpark features, and beach facilities.
• Work closely with lifeguards on guest safety protocols.
• Maintain awareness of emergency and evacuation procedures.

Teamwork & Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with Recreation, Watersports, Safety, and F&B teams.
• Attend briefings, training sessions, and developments programs as required.
• Uphold the hotel’s grooming standards, behavior expectations, and code of conduct.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in recreation, waterpark operations, beach service, or guest service is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, service‑focused, and energetic personality.
• Basic POS knowledge is an advantage.
• English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to swim is preferred but not mandatory (lifeguard roles are separate).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, New grad
Contract length: 12 months
