Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT. is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable individual for our Recruiting and HR Assistant. This position will be assisting our corporate recruiters and reporting to the Department Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in Human Resources and Recruiting. The Recruiting and HR Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager and Recruiting team. This position will provide support in all aspects of administrative, training, recruiting, and HR, including but not limited to new hire and onboarding process, new hire orientation, employee relations, HRIS information, personnel files, and policy review.


Major Duties:

  • Maintain job postings on various online platforms and social media channels.
  • Utilizing our ATS to build a talent database, screen candidates' resumes and job applications, perform introductory phone screens, and organize interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into Hunt Electric employees.
  • Assist with New Hire prescreening, onboarding, and various recruiting needs.
  • Assist and attend job fairs for various departments.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can-Do” positive attitude.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 360.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem assessment and problem-solving.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with a variety of individuals as part of a team at all levels.
  • Possess high levels of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm, and be eager to learn.
  • Experience in construction, customer service, or a call center is a plus.
  • Clean driving record.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.
