Recruitment Specialist (Construction Experience)

JOB OVERVIEW:

To manage end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring that the company attracts, selects, and hires the best talent within the required timeframes. This role focuses on sourcing skilled labor, technical staff, and office-based employees to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

What will you do:
Talent Sourcing & Attraction

  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for skilled labor, engineers, and management roles.
  • Post job ads on company website, job portals, and social media platforms to attract qualified candidates.
  • Build and maintain a talent pool database for frequently hired positions (e.g., masons, carpenters, site engineers).
  • Coordinate with manpower suppliers and recruitment agencies to fulfill urgent hiring needs.

Screening & Selection

  • Review applications, shortlist candidates, and conduct initial screenings/interviews.
  • Coordinate technical assessments, trade tests, and interviews with hiring managers.
  • Ensure fair, unbiased, and compliant selection practices in line with labor laws and company policies.

Recruitment Process Management

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from requisition to onboarding.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers and ensure timely reporting of hiring progress to HR management.
  • Monitor recruitment KPIs, including time-to-fill and cost-per-hire, and propose process improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with project managers, department heads, and HR operations to identify manpower requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Support workforce planning by forecasting hiring needs based on project pipeline.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and internal recruitment policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of interviews, candidate evaluations, and hiring decisions for audit purposes.
  • Support Emiratization initiatives by sourcing and engaging with Emirati talent pools.

Employer Branding

  • Promote the company as an employer of choice through recruitment marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in job fairs, career events, and partnerships with technical institutes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–6 years of recruitment experience (construction/contracting industry experience is mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of bulk recruitment and blue-collar hiring.
  • Excellent interviewing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ATS systems, MS Excel, and job portal management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requisitions simultaneously.
