Redi-Mix Driver - Class B CDL

Haas Sons, Inc. is seeking Redi-Mix Drivers! This is a seasonal, full-time position running from April through November.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: As a Redi Mix Driver, you will deliver ready mixed concrete to residential and commercial construction sites. Drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining their truck in a safe and efficient manner. Work is fast paced and involves a lot of driving, labor, and effective communication with dispatch and site crews.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Redi Mix truck to haul and deliver concrete to residential and commercial construction sites.
• Ensure the load is accurate, properly mixed, and the correct consistency
• Provide courteous, professional, and customer-focused service while representing the company at all job sites and customer locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation
• Performs day-to-day maintenance and washouts on vehicle (wash, grease, oil, fuel, coolant)
• Completes and submits all required paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
• Follow directions from the dispatcher and job site foreman
• Communicate effectively with the crew on the job site, dispatchers, customers, and coworkers
• May collect payment from customers (cash or check); ensure accurate documentation of all transactions and timely submission of payments
• Follow all local, state, federal, and DOT regulations and company safety rules
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized truck
• Operates various hand tools and performs medium to heavy manual labor
• Assist with yard or shop tasks when needed
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the organization

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Experience driving a commercial motor vehicle is preferred but not required
• Driver’s License: Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brakes
• Current Fed Med card is required
• Dependable and safety focused
• Able to work overtime as required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Lifting up to 50-75lbs · Frequent climbing, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs and ladders · Sitting and driving for long periods of time
• Washing out mixer drum (hosing, shoveling, scraping, etc.)
• Working in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, dust, noise)
• Exposure to noise, dust, concrete materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
