Scope:
lead safe and efficient refinery operations during assigned shifts. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and production continuity across all processing units and utilities.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and control all refinery operations during the assigned shift.

Ensure strict compliance with HSSE requirements, process safety, and operating procedures.

Monitor plant conditions, production rates, unit upsets, and emergency situations.

Coordinate shift activities across Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Utilities.

Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and immediate corrective actions.

Execute operational plans, startup/shutdown activities, and safe work practices.

Manage shift teams, ensuring clear communication and effective handovers.

Report operational status, deviations, and performance KPIs to management.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in
Chemical Engineering
or related discipline.

15+ years
of refinery operations experience, with exposure to multiple process units.

Proven experience as a Shift Manager / Shift Superintendent / Senior Console role.

Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) and emergency response.

Excellent leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills.

Ability to work rotating shifts in a high‑risk operating environment.
