Refinish Technician / Assistant Fabricator

Southern Rut Performance is a local CNC Fabrication, Refinishing & Motorsports Service facility located in Dahlonega, GA - Our doors have been open since February of 2025, are a small business and are looking to add a new member to our team!

As a whole, we specialize and serve our community in the following areas:

• Welding (Repair Work, Custom "One-off" Projects & Manufacturing Based projects)
• Custom Fabrication & Manufacturing (Designing & Assembling Parts, Brackets, Adapters, etc)
• CNC Plasma & Computer Aided-Design (Custom Signage, Custom Parts, etc)
• Sand-Blasting & Powder-Coating (Aluminum, Steel, Magnesium, etc)
• Motorsports Service, Repair & Customization (Aftermarket / Independent Based)

The role we are looking to fill is for our "Refinish Technician & Assistant Fabricator".

The daily duties and responsibilities for this role are:

• Perform Sand-Blasting and Powder-Coating on any pieces / parts that come in for refinishing
• Assist Lead Fabricator with performing any miscellaneous tasks within work-related projects (grinding, buffing, drilling, measuring & marking, cutting, lifting metals, etc)
• Help identify potential resolutions to welding, manufacturing or CNC challenges & relay to Lead Fabricator (as necessary by project)
• Assist with keeping Manufacturing Area(s) and Tooling clean / freshly stocked when not in use
• Assist Lead Fabricator with generating supplies lists for projects, estimating labor hours to perform certain tasks within projects, relaying project or task-based challenges to Lead Fabricator / Management, etc.

Previous professional experience with welding and fabrication is REQUIRED.

Previous experience with refinishing (Powder-Coating / Sand-Blasting) is REQUIRED.

Any experience in other areas such as mechanical repair, CAD, automotive service, parts production, etc is preferred but not required.

This position we are offering is for FULL-TIME, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM each week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
