Refractionist Female

Position Details:

· Location: Paediatric Eye Diagnostic Centre, Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology, Sukkur

· Working Days: Monday to Saturday

· Working Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

We are seeking a dedicated Refractionist to join our team in Sukkur. This role involves performing comprehensive refractions, ensuring accurate prescriptions, and contributing to our mission of improving children’s vision health through quality eye care.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Optometry.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in refraction work, preferably with children.

· Proficient in both manual and automated refraction techniques.

· Compassionate and patient-centered approach to working with children and their families.

· Strong communication skills to counsel and guide parents regarding their child's eye care needs.

Training:
Comprehensive training in paediatric refraction will be provided.

Responsibilities:

· Perform manual and automated refractions for children aged 0 to 14 years.

· Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide accurate prescriptions for eyeglasses.

· Educate parents and children on the importance of refractive correction and eye care maintenance.

· Assist in screening programs and identify cases requiring further ophthalmic intervention.

· Maintain accurate patient records and reports related to refraction outcomes.

· Support community outreach programs focused on improving vision health in schools and underserved communities.
