Refractory Mason

Job Description:

We are hiring skilled Refractory Masons to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of refractory materials and linings used in furnaces, kilns, boilers, and other high-temperature industrial equipment. Candidates should have strong experience in working with heat-resistant bricks, castables, and insulation materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain refractory linings in industrial furnaces, kilns, and boilers.
• Cut, shape, and lay refractory bricks, blocks, and tiles according to design specifications.
• Mix and apply refractory mortars, castables, and insulation materials.
• Inspect refractory structures for cracks, wear, and damage; perform necessary patching or relining.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools such as saws, trowels, mixers, and grinders.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship that meets industry standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements during work.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Refractory Mason or in a similar trade.
• Knowledge of refractory materials and installation methods.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measure accurately.
• Physically fit and able to work in high-temperature industrial environments.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
• Trade certificate or technical training in masonry or refractory work (advantageous).
