Refrigeration Design & Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Refrigeration Design & Estimation Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in thermal calculations, cold storage design, and project estimation, with the ability to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions for industrial and commercial refrigeration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop refrigeration systems including cold rooms, freezer rooms, and refrigerated warehouses
• Perform accurate cooling load calculations and system sizing
• Select appropriate refrigeration equipment and components based on project requirements
• Prepare detailed technical submittals, drawings, and documentation
• Develop cost estimates, pricing, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Coordinate with sales, project teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Review project specifications and ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes
• Provide technical support during project bidding and execution phases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in refrigeration and/or HVAC system design and estimation
• Strong knowledge of cold storage systems, refrigeration components, and system configurations
• Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimation, and pricing
• Proficiency in design and selection software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, selection software, load calculation tools)
• Familiarity with Freon-based systems; experience with CO₂, R290, or Ammonia systems is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial refrigeration or large-scale cold storage projects
• Knowledge of international standards and best practices in refrigeration design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
