This is a full time direct placement position with RCS Company of Tampa.
RCS is seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for career-minded individuals with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration systems. Technicians will perform service, repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, warehouse cold storage, compressors, and ice machines.

Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment (walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, rack systems, compressors, ice machines, etc.)

Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation and system longevity

Respond to daytime, nighttime, weekend, and holiday emergency service calls as scheduled

Work independently to complete service tasks efficiently and accurately

Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repairs, and recommendations

Document service work performed and maintain accurate work orders

Climb ladders, access rooftops, and lift up to 50 lbs as required for equipment inspection and repair

Maintain a clean company vehicle and uphold all safety standards and procedures

Requirements:
Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of commercial/industrial refrigeration experience (warehouse cold storage preferred)

Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC fundamentals, and ice machine service

Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Proficient in English (written and verbal)

EPA Certification (Type II or Universal required)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and DMV review

Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and access rooftop units

Availability for on-call rotation to respond to emergency service needs

High School Diploma or GED required

Trade school, technical training, or HVAC/R certification preferred
