Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on refrigeration
- Inspect components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, and thermostats.
- Clean coils, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment.
- Locate and repair refrigerant leaks, recover and recharge refrigerants safely.
- Test system performance and verify repairs.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
- Report major issues or required upgrades to supervisors.
- Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements for refrigerant handling.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations (e.g., EPA/F-gas rules).
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have a driving license.
- Certificate or diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC/R, or Mechanical Technology.
- Valid Refrigerant Handing Certification (country-dependent).
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
