Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on refrigeration
  • Inspect components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, and thermostats.
  • Clean coils, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.

Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment.
  • Locate and repair refrigerant leaks, recover and recharge refrigerants safely.
  • Test system performance and verify repairs.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
  • Report major issues or required upgrades to supervisors.
  • Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements for refrigerant handling.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations (e.g., EPA/F-gas rules).
  • Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must have a driving license.
  • Certificate or diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC/R, or Mechanical Technology.
  • Valid Refrigerant Handing Certification (country-dependent).
  • Minimum 1–3 years experience in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and system components.
  • Electrical wiring and mechanical repair skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and safety-focused mindset.
