Refrigeration Technician / Reefer Tech (Diesel Units - Thermoking/Carrier)
Position Summary:
Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer. (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair). Due to the nature of the repair flow, could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if Reefer Units are in working condition.
Compensation: $32-$42 per hour, DOE! Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
NIGHT Shift: Monday - Friday: 11:00pm - 7:30am (Overnight Shift)

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a Refrigeration Technician! The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
The Refrigeration Technician will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A/C. Note you must have your EPA 608.

What the Refrigeration Technician role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehicles
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Remove or install various parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
- 607 and 608 Certifications a plus
- Experience with PMs and A/C
- Must have valid Drivers License- Class C
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
