Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dependable entry-level refuse truck driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate specialized side-loader refuse trucks to collect totes along designated routes, ensuring timely and safe service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate side-loader refuse trucks along assigned collection routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload waste containers efficiently using mechanical knowledge of side-loader, flatbed, and container delivery trucks
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Assist with lifting tasks related to waste collection, including loading totes onto trucks when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of daily collections, route completion times, and any incidents or vehicle issues
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups and address route challenges
• Customer service
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental guidelines during operations

Experience

• Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as rear loader, side-loader, flatbed, and container delivery vehicles
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems and operating procedures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL is not required.
• Prior delivery driver experience or waste collection experience is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during waste load handling

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
