Position: Regional Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Accountant to join our team in the coal mining sector. The successful candidate will have a robust background in accounting and finance, demonstrating a proven ability to manage regional accounting functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage regional accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive financial and variance analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Monitor and manage regional financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local and regional tax regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Experience Required:

• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
