What you’ll be doing:
Automation Design, Development & Systems:
Design, develop, implement, and optimize automation solutions for plaster, plasterboard, and profile production lines in line with operational requirements and business priorities
Develop software and control logic for board production lines, mixing plants, dryers, burners, and related process control systems
Configure, program, and improve Siemens-based PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, including Simatic Manager, TIA Portal, WinCC Unified, and other relevant visualization platforms
Prepare and maintain automation documentation, including system design specifications, functional descriptions, user guidance, and maintenance procedures
Operations, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure reliable day-to-day operation of automation systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis
Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams
Identify and implement process improvements through control optimization, loop tuning, automated start-up and shutdown sequences, and other automation enhancements that improve productivity, reduce waste, and support product quality
Integration, Performance & Safety:
Support testing, validation, and integration of new sensors, equipment, electronics, and OT/IT systems within the production environment
Monitor automation system performance and make technical adjustments to improve efficiency, reliability, and resource consumption, including water, electricity, and gas
Develop and implement machine safety and automation safety solutions, including F-CPU applications, emergency stops, interlocks, light curtains, and other required protection systems
Ensure all automation activities and systems comply with relevant safety standards, technical requirements, and internal operational guidelines
Conduct technical risk assessments for new and existing automation applications and implement mitigation actions where needed
Projects, Collaboration & Capability Building:
Lead automation-related projects from technical scoping through implementation, coordinating with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and IT teams to deliver effective and sustainable solutions
Track project progress, manage technical priorities, and provide clear updates on key developments, risks, and outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement by applying new technologies, strengthening automation standards, and recommending practical solutions that support long-term plant performance
Provide knowledge transfer and technical training to local programmers, electricians, mechanics, and operators to build capability across sites.

Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
At least 3 years of automation engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within building materials or a similar industry
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, control technologies, and Siemens-based PLC/SCADA platforms
Hands-on experience with Siemens S7, TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, WinCC, WinCC Flexible, and related SCADA systems
Solid experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and optimization of automated systems
Strong problem-solving capability, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, DMAIC, and PDSA
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams
Experience in preparing technical documentation such as FDS, system architecture, and wiring diagrams
A practical, collaborative, and improvement-oriented mindset, with a strong willingness to learn and grow
