Regional Facilities Specialist

Operations is at the heart of Amazon's business, known for speed, accuracy, and exceptional service. The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team works behind the scenes to maintain robotics and material handling equipment, ensuring customers receive the Amazon smile.

The Regional Facilities Specialist will oversee operations across multiple locations, establishing standardized processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities include conducting regional facility inspections, coordinating repairs, and applying Subject Matter Expertise to troubleshoot facility issues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Apply Subject Matter Expertise on troubleshooting and dive deeps for facility issues
• Provide regional escalation support for onsite maintenance teams
• Ensure vendor work is performed efficiently with minimal disruption
• Establish communication, escalation procedures, and contingency plans
• Maintain and install new equipment and facilities
• Lead training initiatives to enhance technical capabilities of onsite maintenance teams
• Develop regional facility improvement proposals and execute with approved vendors
• Travel domestically up to 80% to support sites within a region

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon RME experience
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• 5+ years of program management experience
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office products experience
• 5+ years of general building repair and maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• 5+ years of budget responsibilities, supplier management, and client relations experience
• 5+ years of experience with HVAC, mechanical systems, and electrical systems engineering
• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, with excellent communication skills
• Completion of an applicable technical training program
