Job Summary
The Regional Logistics Manager (RLM) will be responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations across the assigned region for the Glanbia Division. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, inventory control, and compliance with company and statutory logistics standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regional logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and distribution
- Plan and optimize primary and secondary transportation to ensure timely product movement
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock reconciliation at warehouses and depots
- Coordinate with CFA/warehouse partners for smooth inbound and outbound operations
- Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bills, documentation, and statutory logistics requirements
- Control logistics costs and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Handle transporter negotiations, rate finalization, and performance reviews
- Resolve delivery issues, shortages, damages, and escalations efficiently
- Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for demand planning and dispatches
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and company policies
- Prepare MIS reports related to logistics performance, cost, and service levels
- Lead and manage regional logistics teams and vendors
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Post-Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
- 6–10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution management
- Experience in FMCG / Nutrition / Pharma / Dairy industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
- Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP / logistics systems
- Sound knowledge of GST, e-way bills, and statutory compliance
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
