Job Description


Strategic Growth & Market Development

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in turbomachinery applications
  • Lead strategic initiatives including methane emission-related DGS retrofits and upgrades.
  • Maintain opportunities database in assigned geographical area

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through partnerships, frame agreements, and stakeholder management (OEMs, ISPs, EU teams).
  • Support segmentation strategies to target high-value End Users for upgrades and retrofits.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to drive customer understanding and adoption.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Provide expert consultancy across the John Crane Turbo portfolio.
  • Liaising with PLM, collect/monitor competitor intelligence and activities, focusing on strengths, weaknesses and the threat to JC & the opportunities for JC.
  • Promote new product opportunities through customer dialogue and market analysis.

Team & Capability Development

  • Align cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing, operations) to deliver tailored solutions

Key accountabilities :

  • Identify, research, and pursue new markets, customers, and project opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales
  • Work closely with engineering, product, marketing, and operations to align business goals and deliver tailored solutions
  • Provide customer feedback to inform product development or service improvements
  • Monitor industry trends, client demands, and competitor activity to inform business strategy
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the market landscape



Qualifications

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • Proven experience working in a BDM role in rotating equipment industry
  • Proven experience with understanding business / customer needs across a global organisation
  • Proven experience in matrix and multicultural environments
  • Technical knowledge of all John Crane turbo products
  • Strong understanding of turbomachinery systems, their applications, and technical sales processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with long sales cycles and high-value capital equipment or services
