JOB PURPOSE:
The Projects Department represents the Group in the management of Contracts/Projects with Clients. Similarly from clients’ point of view. The Projects Department is “the single-point contact” that makes it much easier for the client to keep control of their Contract/Project and obtain their requirement pertaining to the project. Also the single point for all communications/ correspondences to all departments within the company and also the client (to include third parties, consultants, suppliers, etc.)
The Senior Projects Manager is involve the following activities: planning - deciding what is to be done; organizing - making arrangements ; staffing – assigning the right people for the job; directing, coaching - giving instructions ; monitoring - checking on progress; controlling - taking action to remedy hold ups; innovation - coming up with new solutions ; representing - liaising with all parties.
Job Holder is responsible to:
- Ensure proper control of individual project execution by Project Engineers / Leaders as per FPI Codes and Standards so as to meet Client Satisfaction & to maximize project’s profitability.
- Ensure that his team supplying quality products in a timely manner & rendering efficient services to all clients.
- Works with his team and enables them to Plan, organize & control their own work to bring successful projects completion and involved in taking management decisions about that work within a time frame and with due regard of their effect on projects dimensions.
- Guarantee the customer satisfaction for the project, by performing effective quality management efforts & dedicated attention to quality by the entire projects team.

Organization Development:
- Ensure the effective achievement of Projects departmental objectives through the leadership of the projects section – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the section.
- Ensuring conformance to the optimum organization structure for the Projects department so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner.
Execution:
- Facilitate Professional Management of projects by providing active support to the project leaders in coordinating all project elements from the draftsmen / Dynaflow through technical support, production, delivery, site services to final handover and payment of accounts
- Track work progress& compare schedule / cost data to base line
- Update the reports & modify the currents projects with realistic data to analyse & evaluate performance
- Lead weekly Project Meetings in cooperation with the Project Leaders.
- Review and verify project estimates monthly.
- Monitor all projects schedule
- Manage project budget and controls expenses effectively.
- Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a project team
- Coordinate solution delivery & implementation
- Monitor manpower productivity
- Ensure quality products & services delivery
- Follow-up payment according to mile stones
- Supervise BAAN close-out through all Project Leaders in order to have effective stock control
- To provide pricing strategies in order to maximize profit on variances from client.

- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and instructions.
- Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures.

Cost Control:
- Monitor, control & expedite all execution tasks on timely manner
- Monitor the financial performance of the project section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
- Supervise finance and projects interface to have effective transfer of information related to invoice submissions
- Ensure that each Project is financially monitored and controlled and act upon deviations to realize or exceed planned project profitability.
Follow up and ensure project related invoices and payments are issued and collected on time to meet sales and cash flow targets.
Close supervision to ensure all departments’ work to one plan to achieve the result of completing a project on time and within budget. He has to, through the Project Leaders, ensure that each department fulfils their undertakings and give early warning of any potential delay so that remedial action and or communication can take place with the client
Ensure that project costs and progress are reviewed at least monthly and that action is being taken to rectify deviations from plan
Negotiate with clients on variations maximizing profit on variations
Project Closing:
To ensure closing out via the Project Leaders on all technical, production, commercial and contractual issues of a project in order to have efficient LN reporting.
Ensure with the project Leaders Closing project on LN system, Close out Reports, 100% collection & Lessons Learned
SPAN OF Communication
Internal:
- Sales, Technical, Production, Planning, Delivery, Site Services, Finance and Administration and Dynaflow on open channel basis
- With General Manager on a weekly basis to report progress versus departmental targets and to discuss any pertinent issues.
- All direct reports on an ongoing basis to remain updated of progress versus individual and functional targets and to be notified of any operational incidents.
- Liaison with department managers to ensure that activities are carried out without disrupting supply to customers.
External:
Client Project Managers, Third Party Inspectors, Contractors, Engineering Consultants, End Users

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
