Regional Purchasing & Planning Coordinator

Role Summary:

Responsible for management of systems and processes that support 4-6 stores inventory within a region. Manage our ERP system transactions and settings to ensure accurate inventory levels and financial reporting. Vendor point of contact for pricing, negotiations, and support.


Job Responsibilities


  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data on category sales, market trends, inventory position, competitor pricing, or other performance indicators with the goal of maximizing sales and margin.
  • Issue purchase orders for stock or special order product for replenishment or direct shipments to customers. Optimize ordering to align to corporate inventory strategy.
  • Monitor and drive correction of receiving or transfer product issues and invoice variances to ensure accurate system inventory and financial reporting.
  • Manages system setup for Purchase Price and Sales Price to achieve best margin results.
  • Develop plans to address overstock or obsolete product with minimized margin impact.
  • Build relationships with vendors to serve as their first point of contact for issue resolution or information gathering. Partner on late purchase orders.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
    • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
    • Operate within company policy and submit reports as requested.
    • Occasional regional travel up to 50% to visit all stores supported, meet with vendors, or get visibility to inventory.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
  • 2-4 years experience of analytical support for teams in retail (Operations, Inventory, Supply Chain, Finance) or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS office.
  • Experience utilizing integrated ERP Systems; Prefer experience in NetSuite
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time position requiring a standard office schedule of 45+hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is needed as occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to address business needs.
