Regional Sales Manager – Job Description
Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for overseeing sales operations, business development, and team performance within a specific geographical region. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, strengthening distributor/dealer networks, and ensuring efficient execution of company strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, guide, and mentor Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Sales Officers to ensure high performance and productivity.
Identify new business opportunities, develop potential markets, and increase overall market share.Strengthen and manage distributor, dealer, and retail networks to ensure product availability and visibility.Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences; provide timely feedback to management.Prepare region-wise sales plans, forecasts, performance reports, and MIS for management review.Build strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term business growth.Implement promotional activities, schemes, and campaigns as per company guidelines.Ensure proper inventory management, credit control, and timely payment collections from distributors.Skills & Qualifications:
