Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Bangalore Dealer + South Karnataka B2B Direct Sales will drive sales, revenue growth, and market expansion for gensets through dealers and direct sales to B2B customers. The incumbent will be responsible for developing key accounts, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in the assigned region. This role requires strong business development skills, industry knowledge, and experience in selling capital equipment or engineered solutions to industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify new business opportunities, projects, and partnerships in various other sectors.
Focus on direct B2B sales to corporate clients, OEMs, government bodies, and industrial customers.
Work with marketing teams to plan dealer engagement programs, branding, and lead generation.
2. Market Expansion through Dealer & Distributor Network Management
Identify, onboard, and develop new dealers and distributors to expand market reach. Identify new business opportunities, untapped regions, and potential dealer prospects.
Strengthen relationships with existing channel partners to maximize sales volume. Conduct dealer training sessions on product features, sales strategies, and service guidelines.
3. Key Account & Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and project managers.
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits to showcase solutions.
Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business by offering after-sales support and consulting services.
3. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
Provide insights to the marketing and product development teams to align offerings with industry demands.
4. Pricing & Commercial Negotiations
Develop pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor benchmarking, and cost analysis.
Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, and proposal development to close high-value deals.
5. Sales Pipeline & Performance Management
Maintain an active sales funnel using CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, or similar) to track leads and conversions.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and revenue projections for management review. Drive sales excellence and process improvement to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
6. Team Collaboration & Leadership
Train, coach, and develop the sales team and channel partners in achieving targets. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
Additional information for external hiring
Location: Bengaluru/Chennai
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in B2B direct sales, preferably in gensets, acoustics, power solutions, or capital equipment.
Proven track record of closing large industrial deals and managing high-value accounts.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience with technical sales, tenders, and contract management. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and data-driven sales analytics. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of diesel and gas gensets, acoustic enclosures, and noise control technologies.
Experience working with government contracts, EPC companies, or industrial automation clients.
Understanding of ISO, CPCB norms, and other regulatory requirements related to genset and acoustic solutions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹1,300,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
