Regional Technical Project Manager - Global Physical Security Program

Istanbul, Turkey

Regional Technical Project Manager – Physical Security Asset Installation & Commissioning

APS (Augment Professional Services)

Position Overview

APS is seeking a seasoned Regional Technical Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery and commissioning of physical security systems across multiple sites within a defined region. This role will provide leadership over site-level project managers and integrator teams, ensuring consistency in execution, adherence to enterprise security standards, and full operational readiness of installed systems.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in large-scale security technology installations, construction/retrofit project oversight, and direct experience commissioning security assets in data center and office environments. This role requires a balance of strategic regional oversight and hands-on site involvement, including frequent travel to project locations during critical commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Project Oversight: Manage multiple concurrent security system installation projects across a regional portfolio, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Commissioning Leadership: Lead and direct the commissioning phase of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, monitoring platforms), verifying readiness for operational turnover.

  • QA/QC & Inspections: Oversee regional implementation of QA/QC processes, including daily inspections, punch-list closeout, and quality compliance across all active sites.

  • Site Engagement: Travel to project locations to perform site walks, attend milestone reviews, and ensure system commissioning meets enterprise standards and operational requirements.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to Site Technical Project Managers, ensuring consistency in documentation, daily reporting, and stakeholder communication.

  • Design & RFI Oversight: Collaborate with design engineers and stakeholders to manage escalated RFIs, design clarifications, and change control processes at a regional level.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison with enterprise security leadership, construction teams, and integrators to align regional projects with global standards.

  • Vendor & Integrator Coordination: Manage relationships with security integrators, contractors, and vendors, ensuring performance, accountability, and adherence to regional schedules.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks across regional projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and proactive issue resolution.

  • Reporting & Governance: Deliver regional project status updates, commissioning reports, and closeout packages to executive and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; Master’s preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 8+ years in project management roles, with at least 5 years focused on physical security system installations and commissioning.

    • Experience leading multi-site projects within the technology, data center, or enterprise office sectors.

    • Demonstrated expertise in managing commissioning phases, from functional testing through client acceptance.

    • Background working with or managing specialized security integrators is strongly preferred.

  • Certifications:

    • PMP certification preferred.

    • ASIS certifications (PSP, CPP) or equivalent industry credentials highly valued.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated monitoring platforms.

    • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, commissioning checklists, and turnover documentation.

    • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).

    • Ability to interpret design drawings, as-builts, and system documentation.

  • Regional Scope: Must be able to travel extensively within the assigned region to oversee commissioning activities and site operations.

Key Attributes

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and direct site-level project managers.

  • Adept at balancing high-level program management with hands-on commissioning involvement.

  • Collaborative communicator skilled at aligning regional project teams with enterprise-level goals.

  • Quality-focused and detail-oriented, with a deep commitment to operational readiness and system reliability.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, live construction and retrofit environments where priorities shift rapidly.
