This is an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic and fast-paced Professional Development team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in the MENA region as a Regional Training Coordinator, taking the lead in supporting the delivery of high-quality professional development for Cambridge teachers and school leaders.

About the role

As Regional Training Coordinator, you will be accountable for effective planning, promotion and organisation of Cambridge face-to-face and virtual professional development courses for teachers and school leaders in their region. You will become the linchpin for professional development in your region. You will manage events from initial planning to final feedback, weaving together logistics, communication, and support to ensure high-quality training for teachers and school leaders.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate face-to-face and virtual PD courses, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to global deadlines.
  • Collaborate with marketing and partners to distribute promotional materials.
  • Manage travel arrangements for trainers, including flights, transfers, and visas. Source venues and oversee event logistics like printing, catering, and room setup.
  • Manage training materials and contract external consultants for course delivery. Organise virtual training, including live moderation.
  • Monitor delegate bookings, respond to queries, and maintain databases and checklists.
  • Ensure post-event follow-up, sending feedback and certificates.
  • Support wider team initiatives, events, and process improvements.
  • Track costs and report PD income for the region.

You'll also play an active role in improving processes, supporting conferences and recruitment, and contributing to the growth of professional development across all regions.


About you

We are looking for someone with GCSE grade C equivalent qualifications in Maths and English. A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is desirable. You must demonstrate excellent English & Arabic written and verbal communication skills. You'll be organised and capable of prioritising your workload effectively. Previous experience of successful events coordination is essential and experience in an international and/or educational institution and/or examinations board would be advantageous. In addition, we are looking for you to demonstrate:


  • Attention to detail, including editing and proof reading.
  • Ability to produce project costings
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills and capacity to push forward multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure and use initiative
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Teams, SharePoint, Excel in particular plus, skills in the use and administration of databases.
