Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your skills will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. We are needing a skilled RDA who is available on Wednesday,Thursdays and Fridays. You must have a minimum of 2 years continuous work experience in the field of pediatric dentistry. As an integral part of our clinic, you will assist dentists during procedures, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric dentistry, utilizing your expertise in dental assisting. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes patient comfort and trust.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix , ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and records management.
- Provide vital signs monitoring and dental imaging support for patients requiring comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote oral health awareness.
- Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state or local regulations.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a pediatric dentistry setting.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
- Strong understanding of dental specialties including pediatric dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining high energy levels throughout the day. Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
