Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and clinical procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient health and comfort while working in a collaborative and professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various clinical procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring a clean environment following infection control protocols.
  • Take digital extra and intra oral dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
  • Manage patient records accurately using Open Dental , maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and managing materials efficiently during procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions with clear communication.
  • Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental terminology to ensure precise communication within the team.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential.
  • Proven experience working in a general dentistry practice with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Open Dental systems such for managing dental records and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting procedures across various specialties including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
