Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Knowledge of Dentrix software.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and enuring all materials are ready for procedures. Assist in all CSR responsibilities.
• Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems (Dentrix), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary for patients with special needs or medical conditions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral health.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and infection control protocols.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding and medical records management is a plus.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment.
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices safely.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, and collaborate with the dental team.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
