Registered Dental Assistant

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will help create a positive and efficient patient experience! As an integral part of our practice, you'll support dentists in delivering exceptional care, assist with chairside procedures, and ensure smooth clinic operations. <Duties>

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques following infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental histories
  • Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient assessments
  • Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and medical documentation
  • Support the dental receptionist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow for a seamless clinic experience

<Skills>

  • Proficiency in dental assisting procedures with solid knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
  • Experience working with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for efficient record management
  • Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technologies
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a clinical setting
  • Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic medical documentation accurately
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
