Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and administrative support, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various aspects of dental assisting.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the clinic's systems.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and handling cancellations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor and record vital signs as required before procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in areas such as General and Implant dentistry., especially Open Dental is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and protocols is a plus.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or managing medical records will be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.
