Registered Dental Assistant

<Responsibilities>

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are upheld.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, to assist with accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Manage patient records using Open Dental and Dexis to ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform vital signs assessments and dental imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and patient comfort.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records and coding for billing purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness.

<Qualifications>

  • Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure.
  • Proven experience in dental assisting within general dentistry.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools confidently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
