Registered Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on pre and post-treatment care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory according to aseptic techniques.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
• Utilize dental software systems like Sensei for record-keeping and appointment management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
• Multi-tasking
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during treatments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn new systems and technologies related to dental practice management.
