Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record keeping
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care to pediatric patients in a compassionate manner
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical records management for accurate documentation
• Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, medical imaging techniques, vital signs monitoring, and infection prevention protocols
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team

Pay: $44.20 - $53.24 per hour
