Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in a friendly and supportive environment. What you’ll do

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, utilizing your knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to provide top-notch care.
• Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation and review of medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits to promote lifelong health.
• Collaborate with the dental team in chairside assisting, providing support during various procedures while maintaining an aseptic technique.
• Stay updated on infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Engage in continuous learning regarding medical coding and documentation review to enhance overall practice efficiency.

Basic qualifications

• Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as open dental

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and dental assisting practices.
• Strong understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
