What You’ll Do

As a Dental Hygienist at New Era Dental, you will play a critical role in diagnosis, patient education, and long-term periodontal stability.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough periodontal charting (6-point probing, recession, mobility, furcations)
• Diagnose and present appropriate hygiene treatment (prophy, SRP, gingivitis therapy, periodontal maintenance)
• Educate patients using clear, confident hygiene verbiage
• Perform scaling and root planing with laser therapy when indicated
• Conduct oral cancer screenings
• Provide implant maintenance, including All-on-4 care
• Recommend preventive products (fluoride, MI Paste, prescription fluoride, etc.)
• Complete hygiene audits prior to appointments
• Collaborate with doctors and team members for comprehensive treatment planning
• Ensure accurate procedure coding for next visits

We value hygienists who are confident in discussing periodontal disease and guiding patients toward necessary treatment with clarity and compassion.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Michigan RDH license
• Strong knowledge of periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning
• Comfortable with SRP and advanced periodontal cases
• Experience with laser therapy (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Team-oriented mindset
• Detail-focused and organized
• Positive, professional, and coachable attitude

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with Dentrix Ascend
• Experience with implant maintenance and full-arch cases
• Strong case acceptance communication skills

Schedule Options

We offer flexibility:

• Full-Time (35–40 hours/week)
• Part-Time Options Available
• Evening availability
• Saturday availability

(Some extended hours may be added as we grow.)
