New Era Dental in Monroe, MI is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established, growth-oriented practice.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

No late evenings
No weekends

What You’ll Do

As a Dental Hygienist at our Monroe location, you will play a key role in diagnosis, education, and long-term periodontal health.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive periodontal charting (6-point probing, recession, mobility, furcations)
• Diagnose and present appropriate hygiene treatment (prophy, gingivitis therapy, SRP, periodontal maintenance)
• Educate patients clearly on periodontal disease and prevention
• Perform scaling and root planing (laser therapy when indicated)
• Conduct oral cancer screenings
• Provide implant maintenance and advanced hygiene care
• Recommend preventive and adjunctive products (fluoride, MI Paste, prescription fluoride, etc.)
• Complete hygiene audits prior to appointments
• Ensure accurate documentation and procedure coding for next visits
• Collaborate closely with doctors and team to support comprehensive treatment planning

We value hygienists who are confident discussing bone loss, inflammation, and long-term oral health — and who can guide patients toward accepting the care they need.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Michigan RDH license
• Strong understanding of periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning
• Experience with SRP and moderate-to-advanced periodontal cases
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Team-oriented mindset
• Detail-focused and organized
• Positive, professional, coachable attitude

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with laser therapy
• Experience with implant maintenance
• Dentrix Ascend experience
