Position is for a dietitian to provide services at a small skilled nursing facility in the Galion area. Position is with a reputable home and is long term, not PRN.

Long term care experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide training!

Pay is very competitive!

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing nutrition support to staff and residents

Complete high-risk comprehensive nutrition assessments after reviewing documents and speaking with resident, family and the healthcare team (Dietary technician completes a majority of assessments).

Implement dietary care plans

Survey assistance

Provide nutrition consultation to residents, staff and families on nutrition principles, diet modifications and any risks/concerns

Inspect kitchen and dietary service areas to ensure compliance with food code regulations

Ensure prescribed diets are followed and meet daily nutrition need requirements. This includes therapeutic and texture modifications.

Skills and Qualifications

Dietitian must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently or with members of the healthcare team

Must have ability to effectively communicate with residents and/ or their families

Must be Registered with CDR

Long Term Care Experience preferred with a comprehensive knowledge of Section K on MDS, Completing resident/ patient assessments and Care Plans

Knowledge of State and Federal Guidelines

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
