1. Clinical Support:
- Assist dentists during procedures including extractions, implants, and sedation cases.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications, local anesthesia (where authorized), and post-operative care.
2. Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for treatment and offer reassurance and post-op instructions.
- Assess and document patient medical history, allergies, and concerns.
- Provide health education related to oral hygiene and general well-being.
3. Infection Control and Safety:
- Maintain strict hygiene and sterilization standards in treatment rooms.
- Handle and dispose of sharps and biohazard materials in line with protocols.
- Support cross-infection control through disinfection, PPE use, and sterilization protocols.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
- Keep accurate nursing notes, procedure records, and follow-up logs.
- Ensure all nursing activities comply with local regulations and dental licensing boards.
- Participate in audits, quality checks, and training.
5. Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to manage medical emergencies (e.g., allergic reactions, syncope).
- Operate emergency equipment (e.g., oxygen tanks, defibrillators) confidently.
