We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 3–5 years of proven experience in Medical-Surgical, Operating Room (OR), Preoperative, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care, support surgical teams, and ensure optimal patient outcomes across the perioperative continuum.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in medical-surgical wards, OR, preoperative, and PACU units.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications, and manage post-operative recovery.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including preoperative assessments and education.
- Deliver compassionate care, emotional support, and clear communication to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and adherence to hospital policies.
- Uphold infection control standards and patient safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered General Nurse (RGN) license/registration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical, OR, Preoperative, and PACU settings.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, patient monitoring, and emergency response.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Specialized training in perioperative nursing or critical care.
