Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional client care while supporting clinical operations across our inpatient settings that include both detox and residential behavioral health treatment. Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient service will help ensure smooth clinic workflows and positive patient experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse medical environment, while working with our CNP and Nurse. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to high-quality healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Support clinical procedures such as medication administration and program orientation.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating follow-up care when needed.
- Uphold safety standards by adhering to infection control protocols, monitoring patient vitals during inpatient stays
- Part-time work schedule Monday, Weds., Thursday 4:30 pm-9pm; Saturday and Sunday 4pm-10p
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; prior experience in hospital medicine or inpatient facilities is highly preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient assessment and documentation.
- Experience working in diverse environments
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for efficient recordkeeping and billing processes.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support certification.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; capable of handling intake procedures professionally in fast-paced settings.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.75 per hour
