About the Role
Starling Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support healthcare delivery in a rural hospital setting. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage a wide range of clinical presentations. The nurse will provide direct patient care, support emergency situations, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care across rural health services.
- - Triage and patient prioritisation
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and hospital procedures.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in emergency, acute care, and rural nursing.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Current National Police Check (valid 3 years, including aged care clearance if required).
- Evidence of up-to-date immunisations, including:
- - Measles, Mumps, Rubella
- - Pertussis (within the last 10 years)
- Current photo identification (passport or driver’s licence).
- Ability to meet mandatory training compliance requirements.
- Basic Life Support – annually
- BloodSafe Clinical Transfusion Practice – every 2 years
- SaFE Child Protection (Module 1) – annually
- Code of Conduct (Working Ethically) – annually
- Cultural Awareness: First Nations – every 5 years
- Cyber Security Essentials – annually (refresher)
- Fire Training / First Response Evacuation – annually
- Fraud Control Awareness – every 2 years
- Infection Prevention Control – once only
- Medication Safety – annually
- Occupational Violence Awareness – once only
- Patient Handling Fundamentals – once only
- Domestic Family Violence Training – every 3 years
- Work Health Safety – once only
- Two referees (line managers: one within the last 6 months, one within 12 months).
- Current AHPRA registration certificate.
- National Police Check (with aged care clearance if required).
- Evidence of mandatory immunisations.
- Proof of identity (valid passport or driver’s licence).
