Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, following established protocols and ensuring client safety at all times.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information thoroughly and accurately.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions including cardiac issues, infectious diseases, trauma injuries, or neurological disorders.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to deliver informed patient care.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems documentation and communication.
- Experience with specialized procedures including catheterization (cardiac or urinary), sonography, gastroscopy, or spinal taps.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.
- Demonstrated capability working with diverse populations including geriatrics (including dementia or Alzheimer’s care), behavioral health clients, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
