Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, IV therapy, Central line care/management, Medications, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Respiratory/Thoracic, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Additional Skills, Computerized documentation, Titration of IV vasopressors.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Arterial line management*.

Unit/Facility Details: Per Aya standards we need 2 references within 2 years of start but this will not prevent the candidate from starting on time.

Special Requests:

• You must be able to start on the start date specified for this job.
• Do not apply if you are not willing to meet the possible floating obligation.
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
• RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
• Cook does not approve block schedules or special requests. All time off must comply with the RTO policy.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month.

Floating Requirements: Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Cook is a MANDATORY FLOAT FACILITY, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion. ICU RNs will float between numerous ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU. If needed to support staffing, ICU RNs may be asked to float to MS units. The first week (orientation and precepting shift) will be on the day shift.
