Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and paper records.
- Administer IV medications including IV conscious sedation during procedures and other routes as ordered by the physician,following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Assist with complex procedures including catheterization, stenting, and wound care while maintaining sterile environments.
- Manage protocols.
- Review diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory results, radiology coordination (e.g., CT scans), and infection control practices aligned with AORN standards.
- Provide patient education on pre-operative and post operative instructions.
- Observing patient's condition and reporting immediately any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurances .
- Must be willing to travel to other locations - primarily between West Ashley and Nexton but on occasion, may include others - will receive travel compensation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU), emergency medicine, or procedural units.
- Critical care experience in ICU or trauma centers is highly preferred; experience in conscious sedation is extremely helpful.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
- Hands-on experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and medication administration.
- Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Experience working in outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or outpatient surgery/procedural care environments.
- Strong understanding of physiology knowledge for patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation across adult populations.
- Maintenance of Advanced Cardiac Life support Certification (ACLS) and Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Two years experience in surgical and/or critical care procedures - vascular procedures preferred.

Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour
