Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments for specialized procedures like ophthalmology or aesthetic laser treatments.
- Manage airway care, ventilator support, and aseptic techniques to ensure infection control standards are upheld across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting results to guide treatment plans.
- Provide acute pain management, trauma medicine, and emergency response in high-pressure environments like Level I Trauma Centers or emergency rooms.
- Assist with complex procedures including catheterization, suturing, tube feeding management, and spinal taps.
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, dementia care, family planning, or hospice & palliative medicine.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination in settings like assisted living or nursing homes.
- Maintain proficiency with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and documentation standards aligned with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.
Experience
- Valid RN license with current state registration.
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level II/Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in diverse clinical areas including medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or occupational health.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow.
- Prior exposure to specialized procedures such as dialysis care, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), infectious disease management, or post-acute care is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology principles related to patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Ability to perform advanced skills such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and specimen collection with precision.
- Excellent communication skills for triage situations and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine or outpatient clinics.
