Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform individualized care plans
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication administration
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and ostomy care with precision and aseptic technique
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, or behavioral health needs
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching, medication usage, post-discharge care, and wellness strategies
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU/Trauma centers (Level I & II), emergency room settings or outpatient clinics
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics including memory care or dementia care settings
- Ability to perform advanced skills such as ventilator management, laboratory specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy and sterile processing techniques
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with critical thinking for triage and urgent care situations
- Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or Level I trauma centers
- Additional preferred qualifications include experience in pediatric or neonatal care (PICU/NICU), hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health or home & community care
