References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Credentials: Pass/fail open-book exam on skills learned is given on Wednesdays during orientation; minimum 90% required to pass. You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Blocked scheduling is generally not approved unless it's weekends only; requests can be considered. Travel pairs requesting the same schedule or sharing a car are not accepted. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details: Adult ICU patients include trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. RNs titrate drips, including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation. Respiratory support ranges from nasal cannula to ventilators. RNs are required to read, interpret, and document monitor strips; monitor brand is GE with tele tech oversight.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends are Saturday and Sunday. Travelers are added into the schedule rather than self-scheduling. Every other weekend. Minimum of 2 holidays that fall within the contract time frame. If placed on call and called back in, arrival is required within 30 minutes.

Floating Requirements: Typically floats to PCU and occasionally MedSurg; will usually take the same patient ratio assigned on those units (1:4 or 1:5).
